Facial fillers in the Minneapolis, MN Area
Dermal fillers are injectable gels made from hyaluronic acid, a substance made from sugar molecules and found naturally in our bodies. At Metro Vein Clinic and Medspa we use Voluma®, Juvéderm®, Restylan®, leading brands of hyaluronic acid fillers that have longstanding track records for safety and for the natural look they provide when expertly injected.
If you are considering dermal fillers, please choose your treatment provider carefully. At our medical Spa all filler injections are performed by Dr Kamran Afzal. Our artful eye and understanding of how our faces age allows her to customize treatments to your individual needs, ensuring you achieve beautiful, natural-looking results.
Juvéderm®, an injectable gel facial filler, is used to soften deep folds and reduce wrinkles in the faces of patients. The substance is largely hyaluronic acid, a substance normally found in the skin, muscles and tendons. Juvéderm® is a quick, in-office procedure with minimal downtime.
You’ll see the difference instantly!
Juvéderm’s® prime use is removing nasolabial folds, or “smile lines,” creases of skin which run from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth. It is also used as a lip-augmentation agent and to fill in hollow places and scars on the face.
Restylane® and Perlane®
Restylane® and Perlane both belong to the Restylane® family. These types of gel fillers consist of hyaluronic acid, which acts like your body’s natural hyaluronic acid to fill facial wrinkles and folds. They can also add fullness to your lips. Restylane® products are approved for use in patients 21 years of age or older.
Restylane® can correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as lines around your nose and the corners of your mouth. Perlane can also treat moderate to severe wrinkles in similar areas.
While aging is a part of life, it doesn’t have to negatively affect your lifestyle. Radiesse is designed to add volume to your face, diminishing signs of aging. It works immediately, so you do not have to wait weeks for noticeable results.
Unlike many other types of fillers, Radiesse acts as a scaffold under your skin – providing it with structure and encouraging your body’s natural collagen to grow. For months after an injection, Radiesse continually encourages your body to produce collagen. Many patients note that the effects of Radiesse last for a year or longer!
Radiesse is FDA approved to be used with lidocaine, an anesthetic that can reduce injection-related pain.
