Kamran Afzal - Medical Director Metro Vein Clinic Our Medical Director, Dr. Kamran Afzal has been practicing since 1998. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Phlebology (specialty of veins). Dr. Afzal has trained with numerous expert Phlebologists from all over the United States, Canada and Europe. This includes Dr. J. Theodore King and Dr. Brian McDonaugh the Director and the Founder of Vein Clinics of North America respectively. Dr. Afzal utilizes cutting edge minimally invasive technology to treat varicose veins. |
Anna Duran - Office Manager Anna graduated from the University of Phoenix with a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration in 2010. She has been in the medical profession since 2003, first in Arizona and then in Minnesota. She joined the staff of Metro Vein Clinic in June 2010. Anna enjoys working for Metro Vein Clinic and helping patients improve their health. Outside of work, her interests include yoga, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends. |

Linda Palmar - CMA Hello, my name is Linda and I am Dr. Afzal’s CMA. I assist with our patients and procedures at all three Metro Vein Clinic locations. I graduated from the Minnesota School of Business with an associate’s degree in Medical Assisting with highest honors (a 4.0 GPA). Shortly after graduation, I sat for my certification exam and passed to become a Certified Medical Assistant. In November 2010, I began working with Dr. Afzal. I enjoy working with our patients and feel fulfilled working in the health care industry. I look forward to getting to know my patients and making their visits with us as pleasant as possible. |
Erika Prettner - Vascular Technologist Erika graduated from The College of St. Scholastica in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Humanities. After wanting to be part of the medical field for many years, she obtained her Associate’s in Applied Sciences for Diagnostic Medical Sonography- Vascular Concentration in 2011 from Argosy University. She has already passed her Sonography Principles and Instrumentation in 2010 and plans to sit for her Vascular Technology registry this fall. |

Jenni Hierlinger - Front Office ( CMA ) Jenni graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in 2010 from the Medical Assistant program. She has been in the healthcare field since 2003 and joined Metro Vein Clinic in April of 2011. Jenni enjoys her daily interactions with patients that are under the care of Metro Vein Clinic. She is the proud parent of a daughter age five and a son age six, and together they enjoy spending their free time with family and close friends. |
